FAQs
What kind of work are you open to?
I’m open to roles where a strategic operator is needed to calm the chaos, clarify the strategy, implement systems to drive accountability, and achieve results tied to business value.
Do you offer fractional and/or contract support?
I offer fractional leadership for leaders seeking a chief of staff, operations partner and/or strategic advisor. I’m also open to contract work for projects with high degrees of ambiguity, change and impact. My strongest value lies in working alongside leaders to shape strategy, drive operations, and own outcomes.
Who do you typically work with?
I typically work with leaders at the Director, Executive Director, and Vice President level within highly complex, matrixed organizations. My work spans highly-regulated and technical industries including automotive, B2C and B2B technology, and banking.
What does a typical engagement look like?
When working fractionally or as a contractor, engagements are suited to meet the needs of the organization, but they typically include 15-20 hours per week of work. These hours are split among strategic focus and decision support, building systems and processes to enact change, driving accountability across the organization, and ensuring continuous feedback loops to enable further decision-making.
Where are you based, and are you open to relocation?
I’m based in Southeast Michigan, just north of the Ohio border. I’m open to frequent travel to meet the needs of my clients and partners.
What size organizations do you work with?
I do my best work with functional teams of 10-100 people who are seeking change in how they operate and how they work cross-functionally. However, I’ve also driven large-scale cross-functional change for Fortune 500 companies.
Do you manage execution, or just provide recommendations?
It depends on the scope of our engagement. I thrive as an all-in operator – someone who not only assesses the situation and forms a plan, but who also sees it through to completion. For some engagements, especially those on a long-term basis, I serve as a strategic advisor to executive leaders who are seeking a personal sounding board and accountability partner.
Is there a minimum engagement length?
There is no minimum engagement length. Typical engagements last 90-180 days, with the ability to extend for ongoing operations support and advisory. I am also open to full time roles in operations, strategy and communications within high-growth and dynamic environments.
